Time has passed, and I’ve watched myself die in pieces. I had become a prisoner condemned to death — the body still alive, but the universe and existence had already issued the death warrant; I had to die. And I did die — bit by bit I was cut away, hour by hour, day by day, week by week, month by month — I died.

What a strange play of the god within! From the last little fragment of the body, he gave a new life. Now, day by day, I am growing again — little by little, new bone, marrow, blood, flesh, and skin are being formed.
